I object to your characterization of this as "Progressive". Christianity is inherently anti-progress (which is why right-wing Jews and even right-wing Atheists cozy up to them). Here is the REAL Progressive critique:

Christmas is the stolen Christian observance of the pagan Winter Solstice festival. Jesus was NOT born December 25th. Or quite likely, not at all!

By the way, neither you nor the "Progressive Christian" writer seems to be aware of the Old Testament passages that command hospitality to strangers. Meaning immigrants. Even illegal ones. Best to ignore that like the religious phonies right-wingers are.

Anyone who tries to use the Pledge of Allegiance as a political cudgel who fails to point out the following things is unfit to be an American:;

1) The Pledge was written by a Baptist Minister who did not see fit to include the words"Under God".
2) We got along just fine without those words for 60 years.
3) Those words were added by lamebrains in Congress in the 1950's to show the world WE'RE not "godless Commies"
4) Once you add those words, you in effect erase "indivisible", in that you divide Americans between theocrats and non-theocrats.

As long as you're grousing about Left-wing films, don't forget some of the classics:
1) Mr. Smith Goes to Washington-- not a corporate lapdog like a good conservative should be
2) It's a Wonderful Life-- Banker is the villain. Rampant capitalism demoralizes the town in alternative time line; their salvation is the cooperative economics of the Bailey Building & Loan.
3) Grapes of Wrath-- private business exploits the poor. Government programs to the rescue.

If you want to denounce classics like these, be my guest. Look like a churl.

Dream on! She cannot win as long as her negatives with Independents remain unchanged, and I do not see that happening.

Executive leadership skills? QUITTING eliminates that as a qualification.

Keep piling on the excessive and mutually contradictory insults. They don't become more true the more you spew them.

NO. I'd like to see her in a specialty erotica rag doing a pictorial in which she gets her head shaved. CUTE!

I'll make you a deal. YOU people stop slobbering over her constantly, and we'll forget her. OK?

That's not true. Just ask yo' mama.

I'm glad we can agree on something. I'd like to see the GOP go down to defeat as well. And I hope the lake is a polluted one.

What color is the sky on your world? Sarah Palin not only will not " win by the largest margin in history", she cannot win at all! You are committing a subjectivity error in thinking everybody worships her as a goddess the same way you do. Well, she is not at all liked by Independents, and without their support she will go down to a spectacular defeat.
