Thanks for writing this post. Social media as a platform for community building is an important part of a startup's communications mix. Additionally, since startups need to conserve cash, especially in this economy, I think that social media offers a great opportunity to provide real-time focus group information. They can use tools like search.twitter.com to see what people are saying about their product/service in real time and use the information to prioritize future improvements.

I am glad you were able to sit down with Wayne he not only a smart guy but one of the most knowledgeable when it comes to social media. I am fortunate to be able to cohost Talk Social News with him each week.
