I see your point and its very pragmatic but I can empathize with the belaguered met faithful.

You wait over the long winter when you (on paper) fix the leakiest part of the ship (b-pen) and think a huge piece of the puzzle has been found. But now the SP looks quite mediocre (barring santana) and now some feel we don't have the horses to be a legit contender. Its part of the pain when being a Mets fan - you think all is good an another problem always arise.

however, the last sentence can be said about many teams but i tend to think we are the loudest with it being that we are one of the most passionate fan bases around.

right now Livan is the second best starter but i think in a month he'll be back to 5th level pitching.

It appears that maine and ollie are having a tough time getting any sort of rhythm on the mound. Good inning, bad inning, good inning, disaster...very frustrating to watch as a fan.

In Maine's case, you hope he hasn't shown the full scope of his talent (eventho he has been great for the Mets at times).

Ollie...well, what can I say.

A solid week of a min of 4 starters going 6+ will ease all of our tensions

why do these teams of retreads, jamokeys and punching judys kill our pitching staff.

to be fair, Gonzalez is very good and Gerut seems pretty legit.
