Yeah, it's kind of like hazing in that way. We got duped and now we're trying to take out our frustration on the next "class". It's a vicious cycle.

Yes, but for those who are (willfully) ignorant that God is Love, "Love Wins" is just a can't-we-all-just-get-along message. Thus (according to the Jesus Wins camp) the distinction needs to be made that it is, in fact, Jesus who wins.

Plus our individual capacity to love is marred by sin and since the bumper stickers do not designate a possessive modifier, "Love Wins" is not 100% true.

I think "Incomplete theology? Nonsense." would make a good bumper sticker.

"Jesus Wins" came about because "Love Wins" is incomplete theology.

I started reading and commenting after I saw Jon speak at the Christian Web Conference last September. I'd been to the site a couple times before that but I really only would look at the pictures. Wait, you don't see the pictures?

At a conference last year, I heard a prominent Christian speaker say during a moderated group discussion on how to be more effective church communicators,

"Okay everyone, the Gospel is assumed, what else can we do?" (I'm paraphrasing due to my faulty memory.)

That sentence ruined the whole session for me.
