Good lesson for early entrepreneurs.
If you're a first time entrepreneur, you need to just focus on building value and building something you love and want. I see a lot of new entrepreneurs (and myself not long ago :) ) chasing funding and events to pitch their idea too soon.

Good writing is the greatest display of clarity on the planet, as well (in my humble and biased opinion as a writer). When looking at code, clear communication of what is going on in a memorable way is golden.

Good stuff, Boaz. Stumble across any great, unknown writers?

Honesty is important. If VCs and entrepreneurs cannot embrace brutal honesty, the brutal facts come down all the harder.

No one should ever interpret disagreement or dislike of one's ideas/opinions as a personal attack. It's wrong for anyone reading this to think so. It's also immature.

There are good people in every profession. I enjoyed seeing you protect your craft.

Well said. Particularly on the web, you always have a competitor--you're competing for an individual's time, which every single service uses in some way.

Entrepreneurs need to get their hands dirty. This is a great idea for a series of posts. I'll be interested to see the path they took (just start building vs studying up some first, specific skills vs fundamentals, etc.)

Also, remember this series of posts could be very beneficial to non-entrepreneurs. Programming computers is a core skill for everyone now!

It all comes down to delivering value, does it not?
By going "stealth," you're able to play your game under the radar and get a start, but you're risking the help and info you get by being open.
Would you say stealth is a weapon better used by more experienced/knowledgeable entrepreneurs with good understanding of the market and the necessary networks?

Didn't realize Apple pays Amazon for one click. Interesting.

This blog and discussions have gotten me thinking more about patents. I can't bring myself to think patents should be abolished, perhaps my bit of experience in biotech has me feeling this way. (I do think you should able to be ruled as a troll if you're not actually running a business using the patent, and the case be thrown out. Any precedence? Hopefully, there will be.)

However, this one-click patent business is ludicrous.
