Nope, I couldn't see the entire field. Wasn't really expecting to. I was in section 503, row 11. Great sitelines to everything except for RF corner. Seats aimed right at the mound. Was able to see both scoreboards without straining head. $23 face value seats. Pretty Good.

But yes the RF corrner is hidden from view (not any worse than any other stadium). I could see the Subway and Model signs but not much more past. It wasn't a big deal for me.

And from what I can observe throughout the stadium, the plexiglass railing 'obstructions' are all pretty minor. People walking up those ramps, however, can certainly be annoying (as most of the time, they really have no clue they're standing in your way and walk slowly, all chatty and giggly)

Can we make it so only really registered users can post already?

I was there at the game and had an amazing time at Citi Field. 78 degree weather! Excellent chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, and corn dogs. Concession stands EVERYWHERE you look. Love those little 'toppings' kiosks. Automatic bathrooms were wonderful - even the soap dispensers were automatic - awesome!

Great game as well, especially for those that enjoy watching pitching and defense. I sat next to a loud, obnoxious fan who was obviously one of those that'd enjoy 10-9 home run contests, and who was obsviously bored and kept complaining & cursing the whole way through. But I for one felt I got my money's worth. This Santana 1-7, Putz 8, and KRod 9th formula is something we're really going to enjoy having this year. This is the Santana start we lost over and over again in 2008, but yesterday's game was the perfect example of what we envisioned while we made those offseason moves. Great way for the first ever day game at Citi to unfold.

Notes:
1. For those of us sitting far enough down the right field line (I was in Promenade 503) - it's really cool to be actually able to see the planes literally land at La Guardia. You can catch them literally touching down on the landing strip which is visible in the gap between the end of the left field seats and the CF scoreboard.
2. If you sit high enough in the RF promenade - you can totally catch a glimpse of the Manhattan skyline far enough in the distance behind the Promenade Infield seats opposite you.

Was there at the game! Quick, uneventful, boring game for those casual nosebleed, ruckus causing fans. But a beautiful, masterful showdown for those fans that appreciate the finer points of the game on a gorgeous Saturday that felt like July.

This is the game we lost over and over again last year (Santana leaves after a great outing leading by one, bullpen comes in to blow it) but this year it was THE perfect showcase of the doors shut formula of Santana--->Putz----->KRod. Exactly the game we envisioned while we made those offseason signings. Here's to a whole summer of them!

The whole damn building exterior was not blue at first, as was not blue for a long time.

Plus....I like the orange and black wall. It's neutral and classy, and goes with the decor. A blue wall would look ugly, whether it's team color or not. It would be the only blue thing in the building and would stick out like a sore thumb.

I don't like that they've colored the green part around the apple with black though. I thought it looked nice when they had the turf there. I understand it is the batter's eye and needed to be dark, but it looked good before.

I will be there myself tomorrow to judge. I'll be sitting in the Promenade down the right field line. Section 503. I'm predicting I'll love it.

I think all these complaints are silly and some are downright stupid. Mets fans have never really experienced bleacher, outfield sitting. They don't know that of course you can't see the whole field if you sit the other way of the outfield wall! Simple laws of physics. You sit behind a wall, and you're not going to see the space in front of it! Light rays don't bend like that!

These complainers are giving us a bad rap no doubt. I now have my Yankee fan friends telling me that NYS is 'gorgeous' while Citi 'blows'.

Oh, so you only count the games when players do badly? Good for you.

Yes, they may have been "queueing" up behind Pedro. :) But they can't "take their queue" from him.

;) Sorry, I live in Europe, where "queue" is a normal everyday word, and is actually used in place of "line".

Matt, the word you're looking for is "cue". A "queue" is a line.
