I think it is a bit different out here. I am a long way from mass population. Some one has really got to drive out here, still walk a fair way and then hope for a lone and vunerable walker. If my main aim was to attack someone it wouldn't be my route of choice. There are quite a lot of lone walkers, dog walkers, runners that go up and down here. As you say, it's quieter weekdays but on the whole Im usually confident, sometimes though I get a bit jumpy in parts and wish I had the dogs with my still. They were very aggressive when requested, I miss them really.

Well if I'm caught short, it's my bush of choice!

I'm a bit upset about my reader. I know a number of people have this problem, there is a fundamental problem with the google account that I caused early on that has never resolved. So
Sometimes I've thought about just shutting it down and maybe starting another one but it seems too hard to start again. Maybe you could subscribe via email instead.

The app I used let me download the geocache locations first. So once you are out and about you aren't using any data allowance at all. Only the phones gps device. The key thing is what ever you use must have GPS on it.

They did a lovely squid. We had a lovely time there, wonderful people, we joined an anglican church group in the main town for afternoon tea and went out to feed stray cats with them and then in the hills we stopped at another church that was 'local' and was invited to join them too! Great restaurants. Such history. Loved it.

I think it crosses nationalities, it's just a hotel sub culture these days

I tried very hard not to mention the Germans! but actually I thought the Brits were as bad but liked to blame the Germans for their behaviour.
