UGH! I wish I could have been on Glenn's show today! I helped organize our tea party in S. Illinois (there are sane people in this state!) and I actually had the pleasure of being one of our speakers. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting a losing battle and would love to educate myself and others so America's future can be great. I would like to know how to get information about organizing groups to learn/teach about the Constitution - like the video on the home page of Grassroots America We the People. I haven't been too in touch with this 912 project because Glenn keeps referring me to so many good books that I feel like I have to read all of them to keep up!! LOL! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if the state's did a better job of paying out more doctors will accept patients with the medical card. The state of IL has Kid's Care insurance, but because the state is so poorly managed and late on making their payments, you can't find a physician that will accept the card. If the govt got their act together and ran efficiently, there should be NO reason why children should not have access to medical care. So maybe it is time we start to look somewhere else besides for the government's handouts! This country does have the greatest healthcare system in the world - it's problems can be fixed without throwing up our hands and asking the government to manage it!

I believe that everybody is wanting something for nothing. This last election, every person over 50 was hollering about how we NEED universal healthcare - their insurance this... their insurance that..... Yes, we have a problem with our healthcare system, but universal healthcare is NOT the answer! There is so much fraud and non-paying people, the hospitals, etc., having to absorb the costs that are passed on to those who do have coverage. One of my biggest beefs is the number of people on "aid" using the emergency room as their primary physician. If the state would charge just $10.00 for those ER visits, the number would drop dramatically - freeing up the staff to take care of the true emergencies. Several visits to the ER had us in line behind people waiting to see the doctor for a pregnancy test or because they have a cold - that is a waste and a burden on our system - therefore, trickling down to everybody and causing the system to not function properly.

I am helping to organize a tea party rally in S. Illinois (yes, there are intelligent people in Illinois not associated with Chicago politics!!). We will meet at Marion Square, Marion IL, at noon on April 15th. Hopefully, we will have a ton of people show up to let Springfield, IL and Washington know that we have had enough!!! Power to the people!
