I have conservative friends who are so dumb they watch Glee and don't even realize it is some of the most cynical left wing propaganda ever produced. True story.

Looks good actually. Sort of like Man on Fire with a sense of humor. It's too bad so many have written off Gibson. Yes, he is a collossal douche, but so is everyone else in Hollywood, so what's the difference?

Hey, cut them a little slack. These are the same people who courageously put their very careers on the line daily by speaking out against media darling Sarah Palin. Which of course takes about as much courage and originality as walking into a frathouse with a keg and loudly proclaiming "Let's Party!"

Hanna rejects the advances of a young man who has shared the evening with her by throwing him to the ground. She instead chooses to experience her first kiss with another young girl.

It doesn't really matter though, save your money and don't see this. It actually quite forgettable. I had high hopes for it after reading some reviews from the fanboys over at AICN who were comparing it to The Professional and advising Michael Bay to take note that this is how action should be directed. Hanna should not be mentioned in the same sentence as The Professional. And I don't think Michael Bay should be too worried--sure there is fight scene with no cuts but I can film paint drying on my wall with no cuts either and that would be slighly less impressive than the action in this film. Bana & Ronan give acceptable performances with the material they are given, but Blanchette's plays such a caricature of a caricature it is impossible to suspend disblief. A truly awful performance by an actor portraying an awfully written character.

Do yourself a favor and skip this.

Reading is always > watching TV, but if you do decide to turn on the boob-tube, you could do worse than The Kennedys. Having "had enough of 'America's Royal Family' to last a lifetime" is precisely the reason to tune in as this isn't the standard whitehashing hagiography we have always seen in the past. Which is of course one of the reasons the Hollywood liberal establishment is gnashing their teeth over it. Sure they are angry that Surnow is a conservative, but they are also angry that their lies about the sainthood of the Kennedys are being exposed in this miniseries and that multiple historians have already vouched for its authenticity.

Sure, they'll get right on that. As soon as Real Sex 117: Obama Blow-up Dolls Owned by HBO Producers wraps.

There were definitely more "must own" films in the 70s and 90s than the 2000s. The 80s were great for comedies, but the "classic" actioners of that decade don't hold up well. We may never get back to a time when Hollywood is turning out Godfathers, Deer Hunters, and Apocalypse Nows, but there are still great films being made. The Man on Fire remake with Denzel is my favorite film and it came out it '04. Fincher, Nolan, and the Coens are still turning out classics. All is not lost.
