why you say that? Are they blocking it off from the inside?

I think the best idea came from brooklyn met fan who had an around the horn recognizing Mets History:

Therefore BMF proposes an “Around the Horn First Pitch” *footnote

• Seaver stands on mound and throws to Piazza behind plate

• Piazza catches the ball and fires it to third where David Wright receives it

• Wright then shoots it over to second base where Edgardo Alfonzo is standing

• Fonzie then turns and flips it to Keith Hernandez at first

• Keith then hands the ball to Eddie Kranepool who fires it across the diamond

• Jose Reyes snares it and tosses back to the mound

• Ron Darling catches it

• everyone meets on mound for an ovation and an iconic moment in Met history

There would be 5 decades of Met baseball represented including the past, present and future.

Dude... you can't compare apples to oranges. A guy learning the outfield after being a 3rd basemen his whole life is different than a guy who came up as an OF. and that same guy making an error and dropping a ball is not the same as a relief pitcher blowing a save. OF are brought to play OF, Relief Pitchers are here to pitch, we have an infielder playing outfield... and he is doing a pretty damn good job so far if you ask me.

Obviously Bill Price has not been to the new stadium. Anyone who has will know that the porch will have next to nil affect on HR's Anything that remotely touches the porch (which is a good 50 feet up) will easily be gone. There may be a one in a million shot that will be a towering fly ball that happens tom come STRAIGHT down at the track (you all know this NEVER happens) that may hit the porch when it shouldnt have. This overhang is not going to come into affect nearly as much (or at all) as some people seem to think it will. I've already sat under it. I was 6 rows back from the foul pole and the porch barely reached me.

"Livan Hernandez has one of the slowest curve balls I have ever seen, just ask Cameron Maybin, who struck out on a pitch that barely reached 60 mph. The Marlins, an aggressive, young, hitting team, fell victim to Hernandez’s patience, which I always enjoy seeing."

He throws the eephus just like his half brother... except El Duque use to defy gravity and throw it in the 50's. I remember being at a game where he registered 56 on the gun.

I think these teams did well by planning off days like that. They just did the same min Boston. I know I would be pissed next week if the home opener was cancelled and my uber expensive tickets were no longer special.

you guys talk about refunds as a good PR move... but thats terrible that buy from the secondary when MLB.com directly promotes the secondary market in Stubhub
