I see a project called "BlackBxx: Haunted" ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fboffo/blackb... ) on there that's geared specifically for the internet. It's being done by the same guy who made one of my favorite shows on HBO, Carnivale. So I guess even some pros who are already familiar with Hollywood must be trying to work outside that system using Kickstarter as a funder. Good! Maybe we'll get to see some truly original things this way.
