Now wait a minute there buck-o, Certainly these fanatic, psychotic, schizophrenic jerks murdered a good doctor for strictly religious dogma and the irrational indoctrination of these jerks since childhood, but they actually are being good christians and doing as their god commanded, so don't judge them like that. For one reason the bible itself says to kill transgressors of all kinds. e.g. your daughter is getting married but before she does the Lord of the land gets to deflower her and if she is not a virgin she is to be stoned by you and your neighbors, will they follow that tradition do you think?
I'm only pointing out that what they are doing is right in line with their god's orders, and this iss one reason I think religion should be investigated for fraud and tax status...We have to stop the indoctrination of our children, if you're a father don't let your wife or the mom of your kids, take them to church. Turnspeak? Sounds like Orwell's 1984. And just what idiot actually claimed that one can not indoctrinate children? Did they mean that in a legal sense that one can not according to law or does it mean it just can not BE done?
Well speaking as one who went to catholic schools his first 5 years, I think I have a good perspective on the churches ability to indoctrinate. And one must remember that they always have the parents already wrapped up tight so they'll be a big help too. Having said that I must tell you that I 'm one of the lucky ones who never takes anyone's word for anything, I have to see it or feel it myself not some ancient narative. But I saw many many boys and girls fall all over the nuns and priests like groupies or something. It always made me sick,I couldn't stand the church or nuns, they were always scolding me for one thing or another . But then when I asked in chatecism class when told the story of the wedding and how jesus turned water to wine and blah...Well, I asked if jesus was the son of god he would know that wine is a poison and not good for you so why would he give it to the wedding?? That was my last day at catholic school.
So, they can only indoctrinate as much as the parents allow.
