Completely agree -- VERY poor taste, KOMO, and possibly creating a dangerous situation for this woman and her children. Leave her alone -- there is no law that says lottery winners must be in the public's eye.

I think traveling for your own use on the taxypayer dime and not being where you say you are IS fraud. And it is possible that he might have to pay back what he took, especially if he is brought before the state ethics board. Either way, keeping him on and "monitoring" him by taking away his travel is ridiculous. He is a senior level administrator paid by the state, not an errant 12-year-old!
