This wasn't so much a response to the Weekly Buzz Kill as a conservative addition to it. Good on you, Gabe! I liked it. Although... "To whom it may concern"? Really?

Um... no. Sorry, but that's not even close to the message. Keep in my, Colbert is a satirist, everything he says in public is ironic. His point was that farm labor is hard work, and most Americans simply wouldn't do it. If we're going to be taking advantage of an entire population of people, the least we could do is provide them with some decent working conditions.

Good one, Jana! Personally, I think "honorable place" should get irony quotes.

I'd actually love to hear more about your ideas. Have you considered sending a letter to the editor? I'm really interested to hear what you think about the infighting, and maybe what to do about it.

I don't know Jason, there is definitely a correlation, but I'm not sure it's true in all cases. Living on campus made it impossible for me to study because I was surrounded by people all the time, even at say the library. For someone who is really easily side tracked, I think living in one's own space may provide a better studying environment.
