Nah, just kidding.

I had to take my comments off line because my Russian spam hits were approaching a thousand a day. Typepad has thrown in the towel and they now send ALL comments to my spam filter, where I must cruise them (50 at a time) to try and fish out the real comments from the booty-call-skis.

I have added some sort of authentication...I don't know what it is but it is resident in the Typepad interface...and now the only comments I get are legit. Unfortunately they still go directly to spam, so there is a delay until I get to them and move them to the correct location.

I think your new protocol is fine; great even. You know what I would recommend for anyone who doesn't like it. :-)
