Aw, he's embarrassed is what it sounds like. He prolly thinks he likes you, but guys hate it when before they can get their thoughts together, something interferes and makes them feel like they have to make a desicion about something on the spot.
A decision like whether or not to ask you out or tell you he likes you.
Teenagers like to have sex and piss their parents off, that is the main reason. Plus sex gets their attention off all the other crap a teen goes through. How one is raised or the things they go through don't matter as much as what they have as an option to do in spare time. Most are bored, at least where I live.
It happens, bad relatives. Just step outside, take in a fresh breath of air, then ROLL A JOINT CUZ YOUR ASS NEEDS IT!
Okay, I've been through the EXACT same thing with my bestfriends. Sluts & virgins don't go together. Don't get mad at them, it's a waste, obviously whores don't care what others think of them anyhow. And your family issues are average. My family is full of abusive alcoholics so consider yourself lucky.
DON"T TRY TO GET EVEN with those "besties". You'll only hurt yourself in the end, I've tried too many times to make that mistake again. && Let your dad try to buy you, it works at your advantage, new things around you will brighten your day. But when you get tired of that (and you will) tell him straight how you feel, yell it to him. You won't believe how much better you'll feel after :D
You've got a good head on your shoulders it seems. Do what your guts says. This guy ISN'T any better than other guys. I've been told the same exact thing over and over. He just wants sex and he's trying to get you to have it with him. He didn't change, if he did, he'd wait for when you were ready!!!!!!!

If you are her true friend, you will stop at nothing to get her off the drugs. I live in a town full of pregnant teenagers who do that junk and the babies come out premature, disabled, and most of the time dead :@ She has to stop, period. The other comment by Mark is the best advice, so TAKE IT for the baby. The get your friend off the drugs if you can.
I went through the exact same issue, still am. I heard my friends talk about their "awesome" sex and honestly, it doesn't make them sound anymore attractive or mature like they want. They come off as whores. I don't want to regret having sex so I'm putting it off. I've been "offered" the chance too and in the end it was better I didn't take that offer because I would have gotten herpes. Truth is, condoms/birth control aren't gaurenteed to stop pregnancy or std's, and IF YOU AREN'T PREPARED TO ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES, DON'T TAKE THE RISK. That's my philosophy. I'm just too young to deal with any of that, though babies are damn cute. :D
