March 6th's Yahoo! News featured a report of extensive vandalism in an Arab area of Israel, with Hebrew graffiti that read "Death to the Arabs". And we've been sensitive to them getting school days off since the 1960's? On the bright side, with all those slashed heads, Muslim children will eventually disappear from the public school system,. rendering the issue moot.

Considering the gentrification going on in adjoining Bushwick (whodathunkit?) and about to happen in East New York--not to mention the community of Stuyvesant Gardens (huh!?)--Brownsville may look quite different in a few years.
