Who should decide when a buisness is "big" vs. small? Without 'big" companies there would'nt be the hundreds of thousands of support buisnesses around them. If the enviro's and other regulators would get out of the way, it may have been easier for the big 3 to compete with the other manufacturers.

I have been explaining to my sons, they are 1 and 3 years old, that they are likely to have to fix the mess we are making. The one thing I can tell them is that Dad always bought a Ford! No "Government Motors" in the driveway. What a terrible end to a great manufacturer.
I suppose that all the new "smart" cars Berry's company will punch out will be all the rage in the next few years, but what if their not? hmmm.

Nicely put MISSY! I would add that a grass roots level effort to get the State Govenors across the land to be with our cause. That being a state rights, constitution, balanced budget type!! What could this grand third party be named? Constitutionallist has a ring to it...

i would argue they are not disconnected. "They" are licking their chopps as the world looks for a "savior". Remmember the chief of staff's statement of not waisting a crisis? Total chaos could be the goal. We need more Americans vigilant and suspicious of every level of our government.
The new state department lawyer is a "internationalist" and is a very powerful possition to impose world order over our constitution!

In regards to Glenn's thread starter:
Charity should'nt be taken lightly; however it should be given whole heartedly. It should not be government mandated; instead charity should be privatly given. As more freedom permiates a society, more and more opprotunity presents itself. This proliferation of personal wealth allows and encourages a charitable heart. Charity can be financial or personal time/effort in your community. AS the money system collapses around us, charity can be given with your time and effort. Care enough about your street, your block, your county, state, and your country. Where are our priorities now? The moral compass should be set to: God. Country. Family. Self. It's hard to aswer that way, but our Founders did it. Thats why it worked for 200 years.

elliot, care to share with us, how Berry's plan will stand up to the pressure of the international monetary system, that is largely dependant on the worth of the dollar, specifically as we destroy the worth of the dollar? Do you understand inflation/deflation? credit vs intrest? Deficit speanding against our GDP? Please educate yourself on the central banking system and then review the FDR, oops, I mean BHO's economic plan.

I have done the same. I purchased some gold and put the rest into my local credit union. Feeling much better about the next 2 - 5 years for me.

1. flat tax only
2. abolish central banking and go back to a gold standard of 100%.
