I think Castillo has been pretty good this year.....I'm not ready to write him off just yet.
Fair assessment. He is better at his hitting than his D so I'd imagine I'd obsess more over the thing I'm better at too.
I am excited to see how Murphy continues to develop, but is anyone else worried about his obsession with hitting? Granted, a good hitting outfielder will allow people to overlook defensive shortcomings, but we're not talking Manny Rameriez here....we're talking Daniel Murphy. Maybe a few less hours in the batting cages and some more working with Razor Shines in the outfield would do him good. Just a thought.
While I agree 100% that it does seem silly to complain about this beautiful new ballpark (I've only seen it on TV so far)....if this is true about the obstructed views....and I don't mean just the corners...I mean large chunks of the OF like the posters above pointed out....that is ridiculous. I'm going on Saturday, so I'll be able to see for myself.
Well, I wouldn't go as far as you go with the negative commentary about the site, but I do agree with disagreeing with Matt's take. Castillo took a risk....technically it is not the right play....but nothing was working off of Johnson yesterday - the 3b was playing back and was an inexperienced 3b at that (according to the Marlins announcers, anyway). If you get on, now you have 1st and 3rd, 1 out and a pinch hitter coming up. I have no problem with that play.
Murph....not only did he drop the ball, he broke in 2-3 steps before scampering back. This game is on Murph in the field, and the offense collectively not hitting a lick.
It was nice however to see a 2hour game......
Apparently Shef was getting good ovations at the open workout the team did before the season began. I don't know about him being boo'd. Ollie on the other hand.........might as well be Heilman...he is going to get an earful.
It works fine on my iPod touch, but I think the two devices use different browsers to access sites. Maybe e-mailing Cerrone? Good luck!
Oh yeah, and it just jumps out at you. And the wall is lit up because there is a scoreboard of some sort on it. Man, its ugly.....lol
It really is......I don't know if it because it's a Yankee thing.....but when they panned after Cano's HR ball...which Kay was WAYYY too exited about...I was thinking - this is one ugly stadium.
Oh and in regards to this post...yes, it did look different - but good. The park looks GREAT.
I flipped over to MLB Network, and I don't like the new Yankee Stadium at all. That oversized scoreboard/video screen in CF looks so outta place.
