I would never use Facebook for the very reasons listed in this article. I was invited to beta test a product called SPLASH.ME that is really cool and as private as the user wants it to be. Could be a Yahoo or Google plant and end up like Facebook. Not sure how to get a beta invite, but cool stuff nonetheless.
