Lets just ban any person from running for office that believes mythology as if it were fact. Start with christian and Islamic mythology. Then we would have people in power that were not insane.
I am all for helping the unemployed with a job, or by extending their unemployment until they get a job, but Prayer!? Come on. How is inaction going to help? Are the gods deaf? Do they need hundreds of people to pray so that they can hear. Wouldn't a 'god' worth his/her/its merit be able to solve all the world problems with just one prayer if he/she/it really existed? Why pray for each individual that is unemployed? Are the 'gods' to stupid to figure out who is unemployed, or maybe the god/s don't exist. Kind of like Santa clause.
President Obama got elected fair and square by people that want to send a message to the old guard. That message is this: The racist, christian, rebel flag flying, conspiracy theory, people are idiots; and we the progressive new generation led by science and good will for men are tired of the superstitious, christian mythological junk spewed out of the republican mouths.
I fail to see how you equate Morals with religion. I do not harm other people. I treat others as I would like to be treated (a humanistic rule plagiarized by religious people). I am not a 'god' I am a human. I am not your perverse parents. I love my children and even you. I feel bad for you that you have been trapped by the insanity of religion. I have the greatest respect for human life as I know that you only get one life. There is nothing else after that.I do not wish to force my beliefs on you, but I do wish to stop the mental illness that you suffer from. We as a society must get rid of religion. That is the only way to peace. True peace. You may believe any way you like, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others, and you do not try and inflict your mental illness on other people. This mental illness that you suffer from is directly responsible for the abuse of women and children. So you go ahead and submit. It seems you have received a lot of negative points and I have many positive. That would seem to me to denote dislike of your comments and approval of mine.

I think the solution to the problem is this: Get rid of the outdated archaic attitudes that men grow up with towards women and children. This idea of the women and children being "less" than a man can be traced directly to every religion out there. Christian: woman be submissive to your husband. Islam: Cover up and walk three steps behind the man. Judaism: If 'your' woman does not mind, kill her!! That is just three off the top of my head. How terrible that this modern society allows these things to go on. We, as a society, need to get rid of the old ideas (religion) and work towards respecting each other. The world is not flat, there is no santa clause, and jesus is pro-domestic violence.
