I'm with Shauna....I cried too! How beautiful!!! You two encourage me to be patient and know that TRUE love does still exist in Christ.
This goes right along with the comments on FB the other day that soooooo many people had about T.I. and his '"insincerity" about going to jail. I try my best to NOT judge anyone else, because the very same gavel that I lower so harshly on others SHOULD be lowered on me also. God's grace is one of the most beautiful things about Him. Every day his Grace is reapplied and extended to our sorry behinds. Even those of US who feel that we walk so upright before him must admit our private thoughts, actions, and deeds. If God were to roll the movie our lives we would ALL hold our heads down in shame....every one of us has an "R" rated movie of our lives....and for anyone who thinks not...you JUST put yourself in that category. I know that God says in His Word that "he who has been forgiven much, loves much" and I am in Love with a God who loves me...in SPITE of me.
I personally would LOVE to see more pastors and spiritual leaders address this issue. I truly appreciate the fact that you recognize and give credence to it. Most pastors IGNORE the issue, because truth be told they do not really know what to do about it are afraid to do the WRONG thing. I have personally sat under GREAT teaching by some pastors who have been open enough to share their own personal dating, courting, and marriage experiences with Singles. It really helped to get some type of guidance. I agree that most singles crave information about how to do it right. I do not think that anyone really wants to be a "player" or promiscuous by choice. I think that in our hearts we all truly want to be loved, respected, and to feel the security of a healthy marriage.
