My apologies. I just came back from vacation and saw these comments. They were homemade Christmas presents from Grandma Margaret that would have been very difficult and time-consuming to replace. She took the time crochet Kleenex box covers in the form of a couch for each family member.

Justin: You make some good points and thank you for reading. It's true that people have gone on to great success after getting their GEDs. And people working in fast food truly are in a thankless job.
For that reason, I do not ever recall yelling, insulting or mistreating employees for some incredibly horrendous service. While I have held them accountable for their customer service, I have always tried to treat them with respect. I have no idea what their stories are and I understand how difficult their jobs can be.
My whole point to my son was to not let Taco Bell be the end of the line. Reach for something higher that can impact the most lives, and that doesn't necessarily mean making the most money.

You are absolutely correct to recognize that least this young man is working. I totally agree and that's why I said in my post, Again, TBG, this may be a brief stop for you on your way up. It could be hard times and this is the only way to bring in some money for the family. Hey, you’re here instead of immersed in World of Warcraft right?
But in case it was the end game for this young man, it proved to be a great visual for my son.

You bring up a real good point. I was on a double date at the dunes when my future wife yelled at some obnoxious hoodlums driving behind us. To prove our manhood, the other guy and I on the date drove away really fast.
