I’m overly independent; therefore, living with a man who is not my husband is terribly difficult.

Getting married is NOT going to change that.

You will want it to change. It will not.

You are hardwired that way by now. I watched my wife fight that fight everyday throughout our marriage. Just be you and find a man who is cool with it.

This in particular is where I have to disagree.

Tyler perry did the best HE could.

A man with a better understanding of the Poem and the power of the words themselves
A man who isnt betrothed to pedestrian story telling and oppressed by his own dysfunction
A man who isnt determined to make everything in his image.

A better man, a better storyteller could make a better movie.

A smarter man would have put it in the hands of a gifted Black woman.

Mr. Perry appears to be neither, imo.

I believe because he didn't totally butcher it, people are relieved to the point of positivity.

Ultimately the faults are being delineated but with the caveat that they expected worse.

Im not sure if that is a win or a loss in the grand scheme.

If you watch that video and find yourself focusing on the physical manifestation of nakedness, you need to cop to your level of ignorance and go sit down somewhere quietly while enlightened folks have their discussion.

I think there is a general lack of patience with QBs in general. While it is clear that this impatience manifests itself with Black QBs more often, it should be noted that this is more the substance of group knee jerk behavior than it is conspiracy. Ive long been convinced that when a QB doesnt develop properly, it tends to be the result of inadequate coaching just as much as poor play.

I dont think any criticism of Will Smith is based on any deifi/canonization of Obama. Im pretty sure the criticism is based on his actual quotes.

Using Obama to put a happy face on America will pretty much get ANYONE told right about now.

See, this is why I stopped listening to Will Smith when he stopped making records. I will support the movies he makes that interests me, but that is it.

Will is a smart and talented cat, but obviously not smart enough to know when he is in over his head.

America is as racist as your circumstances make it. It is insulting for Will Smith to speak on Oscar Grant's America and vice versa.

Im not going to get into suggesting how racist Oscar Grant's America is because EYE dont live in it either, although my existence is much more similar.

If folk stopped acting like THEIR reality is the reality of everyone else, I would start taking folk much more seriously when they start speaking.

My name is Inkognegro and I am a man who is the Father of two sons and the Temporary foster father of another son. I wholeheartedly encourage ANY woman who finds her self witha penis in her mouth that she did not invite to express her displeasure in whatever way she deems appropriate. It would seem to me that if men find themselves with bitten penises they just might be more careful where they put them.
