Hi, I have a iphone 3G (firmware 3.0 and use Tmobile in U.S., operating sys: Vista) and thought about updating to 3.1.2, but I realize it will wipe out everything on my iphone. I have lotta apps and 3rd party apps on my iphone and i was wondering if there is anyway to update it w/o wiping out everything?

reinstall apps? apple app store still works with unlocked iphones?

I bought an iphone from a friend (iphone-AT&T user) and I was able to unlock it with Ultrasnow (it was very simple and fast!)
But now none of the games and applications my friends bought and installed on the iPhone works...is there anyway to fix this?
