The reason Obama won is real simple - some of the people that voted for Bush in 2004 voted for Obama in 2008. Does anyone really think these folks are going to vote for Obama again if things get really bad? Things are bad now, but they are not really bad. Does anyone recognize these numbers?

16 percent inflation
22 percent interest rates
18 percent mortgage rates
10 percent unemployment
70 percent marginal tax rates

I was standing in line trying to get gas and a job when this happened. The result was Ronald Reagan and 8 years of growth. Reagan was good, but hell any conservative could have been good with this kind of economy-Polls don't mean crap-these numbers do though...

It does not matter what he says, how he says it, or who is running against his congress in 2010 or him in 2012. He will not be able to blame Bush and when the economy is worse than it was when Jimmy Carter left, any politician with some cash and is not a democrat will win hands down...

Lets hear the damn tapes. Gates is probably an ass, but you are going to have to prove to me that he did something extraordinary to get arrested. If this thing goes south, Obama will apologize and throw Gates under a bus just like he has done grandma, his preacher, and that half ass terrorist in Chicago...
