My son was recently in accident where he was the passenger in a car of a drunk person (His Friend). They were real lucky they were not maimed or killed as the car was totaled. I told him straight up and he agreed. He was just as responsiple for getting in that car as the driver. He knew he was drunk and they were both accountable. I find it odd how some bloggers here are calling for the head of this young girl. She made a error in judgement that most people have made in life, hers just ended in tradgedy. I also am assuming that these 3 young men knew she was drunk, let her drive, got into the car and were probably drunk themselfs. They were all culpable in thier deaths. Hopefully she gets the punishment she deserves and is able to recover in life. I'll bet her friends would want that.
This young man had already shot himself in the head, he may not have heard the commands or understood the situation at that point. We don't know all of the facts, was there alcohol involved, had he sought out treatment. War is hell, and you can do everything to reel in our men and help them, but it doesn't change what thier going through.

Your totally out of line. Why does the right try and blame every instance on Liberals. There has been crime in schools since the beginning of civilizations. The couple who went on a killing spree recently were right wing, neo nazis, to blame thier Idology on the conservatives is out of line. And so are you.
What would you say if the child who committed the crime came from a christian, disciplined family. Not to say that happened.

I will say that I agree with your original comment. When you play with the devil your bound to get burned. I have understood since this first happend in 1989 that it was a drug deal gone bad. Any sane person knows that your at risk when dealing with dealers and drug enforcement. We would show no remorse if she and her boyfriend had been caught and demanded that her kids be removed from her.
She may not have deserved to be shot and killed but she definatly put herself in that position.
I also believe Jeffs follows the teaching of Josph Smith and what he "was told by god" to the letter. If Smith had continued to live he would have never ammended poligamy. He impregnated no less then three 14 year old girls and two others under 16 and out of wedlock. He would be in prison today, and mocked by society. No Doubt.
Having grown up in Utah in a Jack-Mormon household and now married to my wife who came from a strict mormon household, (Her Grandfather was the archbishop of the state) I have a little insight on the lifestyle there. Growing up there I never thought of Utah as , though a strict conservative state, or at least no more then other states. We drank beer, Partied, had premartial sex and such. Everybody hunted had guns cussed and so forth. It seems when I go back that the extreme Mormons, those who adhere strictly to the religion are becoming more prominant, thus the tightning of laws and regulations. Don't mind the protest, think its funny but it won't get them anywhere.
I am no longer a Mormon myself as I belief Joseph Smith was a pedophile and a fraud. As information becomes available this becomes apparent. He took the Bible and used it to his advantage to gain power, just as he tried with fraudulently trying to milk investers with his false treasures prior to "Moroni" visiting him. As far as wearing garments to remain pure, I have no problem with that either, whatever chasity belt ou need to keep yourself in check is your own buisness.
Sorry, myownopinion, nearly every adult looks at Porn now that the internet has made it so available. Especially in Josh Powells age range and younger. I think the state has to offer up more proof in order to take the kids.
