It would be interesting to see how far W and E the influence of the two programs stretch. Find a town midway through, and see what the balance of fans is, go a bit West and a bit East of that point, etc...

That catch by Sandeman in the photo above was a picture-perfect play. You couldn't ask for a better throw, but that catch was also very clutch. I think Sandeman will definitely get some time in as you said.

I believe it was Nordman I saw in the spring scrimmage catching some balls - speaking of stork-like players - he looked good also.

I was just thinking the names you had listed as contributors here for the 08/09 classes there, but yep, just amazing how much D talent in the 06 and 07 classes.

Wow, awesome rundown Marc, thanks for taking it to the nth degree....and beyond even. This gives a great perspective on the make up of the starters and how each class contributes in any one year. Only 7 of the 23 players listed in the 2008/2009 classes as poss contributors are Def. Is there anything to make out of that?

Marc, while a Hawkeye fan for 30 yrs, I can't say I follow recruiting too much until they show up to play. However, based on the information I've read (mostly here) on the last couple classes, I'm really impressed with how the recruits look so far. How would you compare the last two classes to this years Jr's and Sr's when they were recruits?

So far the "Which Hawkeye football game would be your game of the year?" question has 44% neither as the top pick. I chose that option for the Iowa/Michigan St football game. While the entirety of the game play may not be the best, the last quarter makes up for it.

I watched most of the press conference. Now, I don't watch very many so I need to ask, is the banter between the press and coach always like that, because I had to turn it off. It seemed way too much about what he did or didn't explain and some bruised feelings from some reporters at one point.

I wonder if the Big Ten (and Nebraska) are wondering if they shouldn't have accelerated their timeline now that the Big 12 isn't imploding completely.

Grades on the decision to jump by the two teams: Nebraska: A-, Colorado: D

And Kudos to the remaining teams in the Big 12 for completing their diabolical scheme to never have to get stuck in the snow in CO again.
