Using a cell phone while driving a commercial vehicle will be banned but while driving a regular registration its okay?

I wish I could ticket people that are constantly lurched over looking for something in the passenger seat or people that drive well under the speed limit till they reach a yellow light where they find the gas pedal and leave you at the light.

I tried to follow through on that to get a better understanding of the bill. The only thing I could find is that if the local community does not pay its share for the student the State may not pay theirs.

This is similar to the Central Falls 'Stabilization' Bill which states if Central Falls does not kick in SOMETHING the State won't kick that in. Last year there was no CF Stabilization Bill payment to CF schools. I assume that CF kicked in NOTHING per usual.

So is commenting without registering so your replies can be whatever suits you at the time.

Let me know when you actually have an opinion staked out other than 'vote them out' which is so general as to be worse than sad.

Think harder and you may be able to form an opinion of your own with tangibles.

Since almost no one sees what I see regarding the State taking care of it's darling West Bay area I doubt a change in Pols will change that. How can I vote out West Bay pols?

The $180 million used to build the Jamestown was earmarked by Congress to build new roadways throughout the East Bay.

The Jamestown pays no toll yet is the more expensive older bridge. The Sakonnet tolls were designed to shift the cost of Jamestown bridge maintenance to East Bay commuters. The Jamestown has already incurred significant repair costs.

The money that is spent on URI directly benefits the West Bay. $70 million a year plus bond money and retirement pay.

Quonset Point has been a black hole of State spending through the EDC and its bond procurement.

Hundreds of millions spent on road improvements in the last several years including the special roadway to reach - tadaaa - Quonset Point.

$29 million on a train station that no one uses - never mind the rail extension getting the MBTA to the West Bay in the 1st place. Think that will ever be extended to Westerly as they claim? Keep taking those drugs.

How can we help the West Bay more? Yep, that's what I wake up thinking every day.

The East Bay gets screwed on a regular basis so I'm happy to see the rest of the State pay their fair share for a change.

Now Pols can get back to their primary function - How can we send more money to the West Bay?

Wow, 167% of contributions in 2010. I never saw that dire number before. Obviously projections must have been off the charts if that was to continue.

The funny thing is Sgouros would never acknowledge being wrong or rather not being right. He lives in a cocoon of liberal bias.

It's amazing that Projo could miss this item in the budget. I don't shop out of State - and await an auditor to prove otherwise.

Also regarding the loss of revenue from the Sakonnet toll where exactly was that money going to be spent? The Sakonnet is brand new and won't require any maintenance for a decade or more plus there must have been something in the annual budget for the maintenance of the old Sakonnet. The toll on the Sakonnet was intended to dump the maintenance costs of the Jamestown onto the East Bay.

Brian makes a great point re DeepWater. That scam makes 38 Studios look like a great deal. 2 special State laws - one directing National Grid to accept the deal in exchange for a 3% kickback which is not allowed by deregulation law the second forcing the PUC to accept the deal plus $100 million in hidden fees for the sea to land power cable that will show up on our bills somehow.
