So far you've spent a lot of time discussing the merits or lack thereof of Beck. The point is the message is being viewed by upwards of 3 million people and the "Never ready for Prime-Time" players over at MS-NBC have to be tearing their hair out. The sense of delusion over there is being fed by a healthy dose of Beck and let's not forget Sara Palin. Mix in a little Cheney , Limbaugh and OReilly and you have a great rotation of Foils that keep the rabid Left chasing their tails.

Not to mention that OFA (Organizing For America) formerly known as OBama For America (his PAC) is putting ads up on Craig's List: - "Want to work for change. Meet new people. $400 - 600/wk. Some travel required."
The phone number routing through to OFA in Boston. Talk about "AstroTurf"!

Ignatieff - Just another one of the "Philosopher Kings" who will constantly remind all of us peons, "just how much smarter than us he really is...!" He'll manufacture his own facts, impress upon us all his superior intellect and prattle on about his cosmopolitan continental experience all while putting on display his inability to connect with us common folk at any genuine level. The man has an Image problem already and his hubris may just blind him to the fact.

I just finished my belated reading of the National Post and noticed a picture of one the "top-gun" F-18A Canadian Forces pilots that looked pretty cool. Something seemed familiar and then I looked at the pilot, and it registered, that the guy under the Futuristic "Star-Trooper" Ceramic helmut was our Commander in Chief - PM Stephen Harper. Pretty cool shot!!! I bet every political operative in the Liberal opposition and member of the "New" New Democratic Party (... is it official yet!!) was left shaking their heads, wishing they had that kind of advantage. Every one of them would give their right arm to be projecting our moderately up-graded military capability in the Far North, making "defending our sovereign rights" announcements and generally looking "muscular on defense" in preparation for what may be an early November election.
I think the Liberals are making a mistake, if they try to force an election this year. Ignatieff isn't up to speed just yet, the question is ... will he ever get there? I don't think so! I mean the Liberals are talking about issues that include EI, Nuclear Isotopes and coming home from Afghanistan. Their playbook is definitely short on content, and I don't think they want to play on Harper's home field of Economics - they'd get their clock cleaned. Of all Western nations, Canada weathered the economic melt down the best. And I don't think the Liberals want to go down the "Green Road" any time soon based on the last Election Results. So this leaves Ignatieff with the Personality card, and while he might be a little more engaging than Harper, he is also prone to bluff and bluster and comes off with an arrogance that will leave Canadians much more at ease with Harper's "Steady - Wins the Race" pragmatism.
