By tomorrow I might have a decent sno-park.

Good suggestion about the how-tos. I would probably create some curated lists of links, as there's already a lot of good information out there. And don't get me started on Facebook pages. Their recent format changes are very far reaching and as soon as we get a handle on them, they'll probably change them again.

A very good resource for small, rural businesses is Becky McCray's Small Business Survival. She's very strong in social media but also covers more mundane items like doing the books and taking inventory. Give it a try.

You're right Steve, Clipboard Fusion doesn't address the issue of multiple clipboards. There are many such utilities out there, although many of them are outdated and were built for older versions of Windows. One that is current is ClipCycler (http://sourceforge.net/projects/clipcycler/), which is open source and available for Windows 7. Note that it requires that .NET 3.5 be installed on your computer as well, which can easily be downloaded from Microsoft. If you decide to give it a try, please report back and let me know how well it works for you.

Are you seeing the mail verification option but not the phone? Is it possible that the phone number is already being used in another listing? Google is trying to verify that each business is unique and they do that by only offering a verification method that has not been used before.

Hi Jim. Opera is definitely a top-tier browser and I know they've prioritized speed as a key feature. Where they're a bit behind is the number of available extensions, those little add-on programs that extend the browser's features. Opera lists a total of 142 available extensions, while Chrome lists 9,739 just under "most popular". No matter which browser you're using, it's a good idea to look through the available extensions to see if there are some that can enhance your browsing experience.

I hope so; it's on my calendar. But you have to come to California too. If you're ever in the Bay Area, we're just 2 1/2 hours away. I'd love to show you around our small town.

I completely agree that the variety of people both on and off the stage was one of the conference's greatest strengths. Everyone from professional presenters, to farmers, to techies to cops were there and ready to share.

Nice job on the 140 things you learned. Wish I was that organized. My tweets are my notes.

Hey Deb, it will be great to see a familiar face (so to speak). I should be rolling in between 5-6 on Sunday. When/where is Grand Prairie tweet up?

I was going to let this rest but someone just tweeted this one:

Thanks very much, Deb. I'm glad to discover your blog too. I'm enjoying browsing through it and may steal borrow some ideas from you (fully credited, of course).
