We create none of the sort. It's called "choice", something that every man and woman has. I refuse to be blamed for the choices of others. We're repsonsible for Chavez or Castro? Nonsense. They are responsible for themselves.

Your argument is specious at best.

I don't disagree with that. What I disagree is with those that simplY want us to withdraw in this way:

"RIGHT NOW!" "RIGHT THIS SECOND!"

It's ignorance, no different than those who are ignorant enough to think that we are are nation of liberal boot-lickers.

It will take time to withdraw, probably with the help of at least a two-term Constitutionalist president to do it. We cannot withdraw from the whole world overnight. It is a goal to work toward, but not something that will happen right away.

You are on the cusp of truth, but still so far.

The government has the right to intrude only in what ways the Constitution gives them quarter.

Our government acts to protect the interests of the United States. If that means an interventionist foreign policy, that is what it means. To be a full-fledged libertarian ignores the reality of the world.

My kind? My kind is on the same side as you, but I am certainly more in touch with reality than those of you who tout Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan.

You cannot roll back 120 years of Progressivism overnight, my friend. We can't just stop doing what we are doing without leaving a vacuum for some terrorist thug or a future dictator to just walk into it. To do so would make our position much worse than it already is. It took 120 years to get here, and it will take a LONG time to get out of it.

The last election was a knee-jerk reaction to President Bush.

The fact of the matter is that people, left to their own devices, choose conservative principles over statism everytime. It's only when you inject the irresponsiblity of indoctrination that you produce the result of electing a proven Marxist ideologue into the presidency.

Like most isolationists, you ignore the fact that the world is no longer insulated from each other. You need to breathe a whiff of reality, and understand that we will have to be engaged in the world if we wish to defend ourselves from those who wish to do us harm.
