Its like a computer expert continuously hearing people refer to their computer as a hard drive. I have a hard drive under my desk and a monitor on top. I just mark it up to their ignorance on the subject and move on. This guy needs to do the same.

I studied a little bit of contract law and there is no need to essentially sign a check twice. This is just a way of recouping costs. They need to get insurance to cover losses from checks.
