This is exactly what the separatist movement wants... after loosing 2 referendum, they know they won't win a 3rd one... unless some blatant stupid arrogance from the federal goverment creates a crisis. Their only option now is to annoy the rest of Canada... and from reading this blog, it seems to be working !

Agreed! And that is the card that many in the Separatist movement are playing... they know most French canadians don't want to leave... and are now trying to get Quebec kicked out!

Sorry to disappoint, but most of Quebec's younger generation simply doesn't care about separation anymore. Gone is the "oppression" of our grandparents by some bad apples in the english community... we are in 2010 and hope that everyone can live together in peace.

What do you think of the Bastarache commission then ?

We called the Maclean's article on ourselve... just look at the Quebec paper headlines since the start of this year. Someone was bound to notice the trend on corruption allegations and write a paper on it...

It is sad, but it is so.

Cheers and have a laugh. It's all a joke anyways.

Even if the killer gets "life in prison" aka 5 years if he behaves well... the victim is still dead !!! (and the "honour" is saved) LOL!!

The extent of these events goes with the % of the population of radical ?!%$!... now... wait a few years and we'll see how the trend goes !

Did anyone bother to consider that the ones criticizing Mr Fadden might actually be some of the ones under influence ?

Seems that no.

This sure is a funny country !!

Best is obviously Hydro.

When you can't get it, Nuclear seems pretty good from the numbers I see.

When solar gets better, it'll surely take over, but until then...

(Wind power is just air...)

Remember, Chernobyl was run by COMMUNISTS.

People forget that Chernobyl happened to COMMUNISTS. It is definitly funny that most people who use it are to the left of the political spectrum. Wonder why ?

You know, Stephen Harper speaks good French... and I don't think he took too long to learn it. Probably because he is a smart man. One could say the same think of Micheal Ignatieff and Jack Layton.

I don't think that requiring a SUPREME COURT judge to learn and understand French is an "extreme" measure . If you want to become a SUPREME COURT judge of a COUNTRY founded by 2 nations, French and English, I think it pretty much stands that you need to learn both. After all, you represent the country in many ways.

Now, if the aspiring judge can't learn both... it is probably because of mental limitations. Now, do we really want that people with mental limitations on the SUPREME COURT ?

Probably not.

Makes you wonder how they got to be on the short list of supreme court candidates in the first place... do they have friends in some parties ? :-)

Funny, no?
