Um.... Most parents let their kids drive their cars... husband and wives ... I am not sure how the rental cars are going to deal with it. I am guessing you are single with no responsiblities at all except yourself.
i would like to have the maintenance records. They don't seem to want to provide those. How can they be sure they are accurate if there are no maintenance records?
I am not a tailgater and can see your logic but i do understand why people do it and it sounds like a lot of fun for all. Harmless good time nothing wrong with that.
lets see what happens this winter ... I think you will eat your words. Maybe you have never driven thru CR on those S curves in the winter during rush hours.

I think we need to stay on topic. These cameras are not to free up officers they are to produce revenue for Cedar Rapids.
It is already happening and this winter there will be so many accidents on that interstate .. drivers beware!! Red light cameras are GOOD... Speed trap on the interstate is Loss of business for Cedar rapids. Fight the tickets .. after they say you are guilty in civil request for jury trial. I do not live in Cedar Rapids and got one of those mailed to my house because someone drove my car thru there. And i will be fighting that ticket and then never coming back!
You better not lend your car to anyone!! Keep in mind you do not have to be driving.
I don't know if anyone reads these or not but I am a person from out of town and got one of these tickets on the interstate. For one I plan to take the 2 step process to fight the ticket. First the Admin and then when they say it is valid i will file for Jury trial. People need to fight these because the cost to the city for taking care of this is far more than what they will receive from the ticket. I also will not drive into your city ever again except to fight this ticket. Anyone from out of town will do the same .... most will probably just not pay and never come back. Red light cameras I am all for but speeding on the interstate is just a trap and this winter you will see the bumper car accidents increase 100X from people slowing down and sliding all over the place. Cedar Rapids is a nightmare to drive the interstate in the winter as it is let alone with this additional risk factor added. Good luck people. Your Government really needs an overhaul... what a mess!!! Word is out all over the internet DONT Move to Cedar Rapids IOWA and don't Drive there it will cost!
