Hi David, the LinkedIn features you mention are very valuable. Many marketers do not know about them. Thanks for sharing your insights to help other marketers become more aware of them. Cheers....Bernie
Look for a customer who is passionate about your industry and values your product or service. Another factor is that he or she has a digital presence. This person should be active on social media to some extent so that they are willing and able to share their passion about your brand through digital channels. Hope this is helpful.
If you can produce multiple Social Captains to evangelize your brand, do it! ;) The key is that they are authentic. If they get perceived as promoters, they will not be as well received and it won't be as effective. Thanks for your comment.
Alex, anyone who says social media is not important for SEO is not current. This isn't my opinion. It's a well known fact. You can Google the topic and find a lot of articles about it.
Allanah, you are correct in observing the rapid growth of HubSpot. They are now a global company. Thanks for your comment.
If these content formats work well for you or your clients, that's terrific. Each marketer should experiment and identify the content formats that are most productive for them.
Your point that anyone can implement a company wide strategic social business initiative depends greatly on the culture of the business. It may be true for some businesses...Thanks for your comment.
Eric, often clients don't know what they don't know. It's our job (as an agency) to educate our clients on modern marketing best practices. Glad you enjoyed this post. Thanks for your comment.
Being inquisitive is a good attribute. I like that. Thanks for sharing this thought!
Shirley, I generally agree with your sentiments. The content strategy is the most important element of a digital marketing plan. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
