It does seem that we are always left waiting in the United States. As we mentioned in the above article it drives us crazy. However overseas customers also get a lot of really crappy products released to them first that also never make it to us. There are always "backdoor" channels to go through such as grey market importers.

Just got done playing around with Chrome 2.0 after a quick 3 day trial period. I have to say I'm impressed overall. I've been using Chrome for about 2 months now and as I sit in my office on Firefox to write this post it makes me feel a bit of sadness that I'm not using Chrome. With that said it's time to use my administrator privileges to install it. I definitely recommend Chrome 2.0 if you want a lite browser that renders quickly and finally auto fills forms!

You'd be surprised, we sold a ton to tech admins in the field who wanted something super small, sure they could put windows on a smartphone but then they sacrificed power which doesn't work when you're plugging into a network. I do agree that the units were very much overpriced, to the point that the pricing killed the ability to sell the units but a lot of tech admins loved them for quick server work on the go and for their portability. I personally would never spend the amount of money they wanted but to each there own. I think the type of field workers you were speaking of vary greatly from the type I saw them sold too, in your case for just typical users in the field I agree there was no market, actually I can attest to the fact that there really wasn't, it was all the super tech nerds :D

I agree Harry, the keyboard always really bugged me on the OQO models as well and the stingy "trackball" which just seemed a little stiff. However as far as being a "Tablet" PC with the digi pen the OQO models have served their purpose especially for field works doing quick testing.

Here's the official HTC Teaser Trailer for the device. Like we said its been out for a while now, but that doesn't undercut its innovative design as shown in this video:

It really would be a shame for this device to fall by the wayside, anyone have a few million to loan OQO?

John, we're right with you on that one. We're almost ready to go get certified just to get one. Anyone have a few years to teach us proper gaming programming???? Now back to our Atari for some Pitfall.
