i would disagree with the second prediction, at least in the context of growing organizations. companies are looking to simplify technology deployment, rather than complicate it, which would mean the involvement of a lesser number of players, and intermediates, between content owners and content publishing. this is in fact an era of talk about reducing the role of even the IT department. in fact that is the hallmark of SaaS based solutions in general, and SaaS based content management solutions in particular - the ability to empower the end user.
