I think the Alba deal is more or less in the bag. Would like us to bid for Vertonghen; in terms of looking for a Barca quality defender with a good price, there's no need to look past him. As for an attacker, if we do end up getting another winger/no.9 perhaps Tello should go on loan. He was outstanding in his first couple of games but after that he had a dip in form and kept repeating trick after trick of taking the defender down the line, eventually defenders copped on how to stop him. Perhaps a loan to a La Liga side wouldn't be a bad idea, and he'd gain vast amounts of experience.

When you're talking about an aerial threat and a presence in the box, Van Persie doesn't offer that. Dzeko is the only player I would even consider if the price is right, and apparently he has a bad attitude.

It's certainly an interesting transfer. Although some of his antics are, questionable, to say the least, you can't downplay his quality. Despite his age, his performances for Chelsea certainly haven't dropped. I think he's capable of playing for Barca and would be in my opinion the best option for a 'plan B' (since Llorente would cost far too much). Also, imagine Drogba tutoring Dongou in training, would be quite insane. Wages may be a problem but apparently he still wants to play football at the highest level and could take a wage cut. I give this transfer the thumbs up.

What does that tell you? That there clubs are facing relegation, clearly if they are good defenders(Barca quality defenders) then they definitely shouldn't be facing the prospect of relegation!

First off: PSG are mega rich and won't let him leave for any amount of cash, Apparently he's captain and lastly he has some problems keeping discipline. And you're underestimating just how good Vertoghen is. He can play centre back, left back and in front of the back four and will cost us approx. 10 million euros, he's a much better option than Sakho.
