Sure force him to show the trick, then if everything is above board the complainers owe him lifetime compensation for his having to reveal the secret.

Jeeze.

Yes, I agree I put this in the 40% good category. It's not in the 50% hilarious. But this strip is certainly not like Mary Worth or Apartment 3G (or Mark Trail or etc) It's DEFINATELY not a serial strip where if you miss a day you go 'huh?' at the next days, if you miss a month you're lost. However while in the 40% 'stand alone' funny vs. hilarious category, this is a seminal moment in the black haired character 'Jan', which I have been hoping to see happen for a while. There is still a knee jerk liberal woman in the overall strip 'Skye' so he has that 'foil' left.

Not sure if you knew or not but 'Chris Muir' is a regular contributor to some of the Big's You may have been skipping them previously or not. (I think he contributes to BigGovernment and BigJournalism mainly but appears on multiples for sure).

We 'agree to agree' :)

Well I kind of agree with you, a great political cartoon does exactly that and usually in a single panel. Political cartoons still require backstory but it's usually 'real world / real news' backstory.

This is a cartoon strip that has a political bent, which is a little different, it partially stands on it's own and is funny prima facie, but its funnier if you have the backstory which is the point I was trying to get to (poorly).

Most 'comic strips' DO have character plot issues or themes or recurring points. This is what makes it even 'funnier' or in some cases even 'understandable'. This one strip in particular is funny without knowing anything but that liberals are starting to abandon the Democrats, but is even funnier if you know the characters.

Plus you do have to admit that Chris looks a 'bit' like Larry O'Connor (Stage Right). Though I'm not sure this is a GOOD thing (sorry Larry :) )

Possibly, but this is comedy, also that character has been becoming more and more disillusioned with the big 'O' over time, flipping her views finally today. However there is a HUGE backlog of disillusionment over time.

This is sort of happening in the real world already given many in the base doing something similiar.

You're absolutely right, the vast majority won't, but some are.

Chris Muir (the author) does very good work and has for years. He is 100% reader supported and only 'hits readers up' once a year for contributions. His packages are awesome, at the higher levels you get original strips. He is currently doing a yearly fundraiser to keep the strip going and is almost all the way to the goal (he only raises what he needs for expenses and such).

This year, he offers at the highest level of contribution, the ability to suggest a strip (and you'll get the original and credit on the website as well) (NOTE: he keeps 'right of refusal' if it's not funny or such but I believe you can make another suggestion).

He works his rear end off, and I (personally) believe that he is worth supporting, he has tiers at ALL levels. He also has ALL his strips online for your enjoyment. Chris usually skewers the left, but has been known to take shots at the right (when they deserve it). The characters are fleshed out well, the women are smart and pretty, the men are decent men. This strip (even if you don't actually donate) is worth a daily stop, it is done daily (all 7 days with a full Sunday type longer strip on late Saturday night). A much needed daily laugh (not 100% of the strips are 'hits' but a good 50% are hilarious and 40% more are good).

WAHAHHA I LOVE day by day cartoon, Chris Muir is awesome.....

This one especially is good, though there are tons of good ones.

Same tag here as on twitter Chris, so yeah you know me :)

I support DBD fully, giving every year to his drive.. he's really good about not doing 'extra' drives, he just raises enough to live on while doing the cartoon, and the higher level 'donor' gifts are awesome, I love my Sam figurine and the signed original strip and all the other good stuff.

Conservative views, very funny, 'hot' women, what's not to like.

The website ishttp://www.daybydaycartoon.com the entire strip is online... well worth a read.

Adam, Love the commentary, like your work, pretty much you're an all around good guy.

You can 'use' my tweets re: @andrewbreitbart if you want some examples of hitting back, tho Andrew does a much better job, lots of people are getting fed up. Same 'user' on both twitter and here.
