What's worse is those "Forward this if you love Jesus" messages. It's like, sure I love Jesus, but i'm not going to forward a message about a guy with a machete coming to kill me in my sleep to prove it. Fake, Dumb, Stupid is right.

I played Upward basketball. It isn't far from what you said. The only thing you left out is the classic prayer before the game. Sure this is a classic thing to do in sports, but it still had the adrenaline rushing effect most of the time (depending on how good the prayer was).

Maybe bust your own rap after every verse, then you'll get people thinking you are the coolest worship team ever. Then have your guitarist stage dive and the Newsboys and Phil Wickham float down dressed as angels to sing a magical last chorus as glitter is fired from all directions and dropped out of Phil Wickham's guitar. Wow, this is awesome. Now all it needs is lasers shooting from the cool glowing halos that the Newsboys would be wearing.

Playing the song "Pharaoh Pharaoh" 4,000 times even though it has nothing to do with the curriculum.

Yeah, I've found that the ushers at my small church all have 10finity+ points. Nobody sits in the front row of our church, so that leaves an open space for any unfortunate latecomer. We call it "The Splash Zone" and it is, in fact, a splash zone. I really think people want to sit in the back because they hate handling the walk of shame... to the front. Here's a few more usher scores-
1. Stands with zero expression on his face during the service, resembling someone in the military. (+2 points)
2. Wears a name tag. (+1 point)
3. Thinks that he is allowed to walk up the center aisle to hand the pastor a water bottle or tissues (-2 points)
4. Crouches to approach a row or pew to let someone know that their infant is screaming and should probably be placed in one of the nurseries or, "The Mother's Room" (+5 points)

What Jon said in the post was right. We should better be glad we have the right to write (wow that's catchy) whatever we want in the posts. God has blessed us by letting us live where we have really nothing to lose if we proclaim our faith. We're free to say what we're led to say. (Someone could rip off John Mayer's "Say" with that last statement.)
