To each his own when it comes to choosing what to believe as far as who God is and what faith to follow. But what I feel is Janeane Garofalo is too ignorant to know and/or understand when talking about the Chrisitan Bible and "child like audience" is: To be a disciple should mean to be a learner, to be a child. But the disciples were often unchildlike. They wanted to learn from Jesus, but they were still not of a childlike spirit. They came and asked, "Who is the greatest among us? Who will play the main part; who will play the first violin? Who will be the greatest in the kingdom of God?" That was when Jesus called a little child before them and said, "Unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter into the kingdom of heaven." Childlike faith--faith that is simple, direct, and honest--is praised by Jesus as the key to finding the kingdom of God. To truly understand God's kingdom, we must emulate the straightforward and earnest faith of little children." Ms. Garofalo seems like a bitter, sad cartoon character out of a work of fiction.
GAG! I guess she was conserving by preserving. I get the mental picture of big ol' Al dressed up like a Polar Bear giving this gal a bear hug from behind. Growling sweet nothings into her ear and giving her a hungry bear look deep into her eyes and saying "Your ice floe or mine? Wear something green and I'll put some organic champagne on ice. Later we can jet off to somewhere warm. GGGGRRR!"
Never saw the show Larry King Live. Only reason I even know who Larry King is by seeing news items about him or clips of his program on other shows. No loss for me. But I don't watch CNN either.
