The education system first needs family and community support. Growing up in my community, everyone was expected to work hard in school and plan on continued education after high school. My parents didn't have to check my homework because we were expected to perform and excel. This was the attitude of the community in my town in northern Minnesota. Now parents send their kids to school for babysitting. Money spent on education is put into the next new program, and not into the classrooms. The problem with vouchers is that is does nothing to improve the personality of the community, and if you can transfer your tax dollars to any school you want to send your kids, why can't a person with no children ask for their tax money back or designate it to another cause. Change the direction and attitude of the country. Vouchers are too little and they do not improve the overall system.
This is very disturbing. The soft industries are up, and the hard industries, the root of the economy are down. This doesn't look sustainable.
The Odessy should have dumped the silver back where they found it. I can't believe that Spain wouldn't have compensated them for the effort.
How on God's green earth does California keep electing such ilk as Maxine Waters, Nancy pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Jerry Brown. I know this is like the pot calling the ketlle black, being from Minnesota. We have a loon for governor and Klobuchar and Franken for senators, but you just wonder if we aren't all living in Idiocracy.
Since when does the tea party have a leader. As I have said many times , once the tea party is no longer a philosophy of individuals it is over. This girl is an idiot as are any conservatives that back Newt. I am sorry to name call, but how can anyone back Newt. He is the smartest guy in the room per Newt. Everyone makes mistakes, but not the same over and over, and not so often. I understand that many may find him having an even larger ego than Obama. But I don't know how we could get both of them through a door with such big heads.
I can only hope that polls are inaccurate or we have a large population of very ignorant and stupid people who are blinded by the president. The GOP field has flaws, but any of the GOP candidates will be an improvement over the Obummer.
I thought Chris Matthews was Newts brother. They certainly look like they could be related. Chris is definately an angry sinister female bulldog.
Ron Paul has been in congress for many years so I don't know if he even read the constitution. Some of what he says has merit, but he is looney toons on most of his other comments. He has the diplomacy of a rock through a window. We lack someone without political experience, but I don't know if that is all bad. Obummer never really served. He was and still is running for another election rather than being a representative to the people. Santelli was the start of the tea party movement. The big difference with the tea party movement and the occupeeers is that the tea party is a movement of individuals and the occupeeers are a movement of groupthink. Never let the tea party movement become anything else or it will be destroyed. Regardless of who I would support, i believe we will get Romney with Bachmann.
Many transactions are set by statute and have to be sent by certified or registered mail. The collapse of USPS would greatly effect businesses, and the legislature is just too slow to react to something this massive. Fedex and UPS are just too expensive to use for most transactions. Congress must act quickly to allow more cash flow to go to operations than to fund retirement funds.
I don't understand the support for Newt. He can say mia culpa til the cows come home, but anyone who sits next to Nancy the wicked witch of the west and does a commercial with her is not the smartest guy in the room. If he was an expert in physics maybe I would give him some slack, but it's history. All you need to be an expert on history is the ability to read.
