By now it should be clear that on a good day, the German team can outplay anybody. And since they lost the match against Serbia, they will keep their feet firmly on the gound. That should be all they neen to win the cup.

Actually, the only two teams still in that also managed to reach the quarterfinals in the previous 3 editions are Brazil and Germany. Tough chance to see the US on that level anytime soon.

This was kind of a cardgame - nearly everyone was one foot in the grave to be thrown out.

The german team played well today, it only failed to score. But Serbia was much more of a task then Australia, that's for sure.

Can Germany beat Ghana? I guess they can, so everything is still open.

I had doubts for the first 5 minutes - the Australians didn't start as assumed, and so they caught the Germans on the wrong foot.

But how quick our team was able to adjust to this situation and got to command the game was even more of a surprise. And they played some very fine combinations, too - AND scored cool and deserved goals, something not every better team managed to do so far.

Yes, the red card was totally overdone, as anyone could see from the replays. No need to keep a player grounded for that.
