I've actually had Chad as a coach. I have experienced him pushing myself and other players, but never witnessed him verbally abusing anyone. Coaches need to push their players and need to make them follow the rules. I believe there is far more to this story than what is being reported. I think there are some parents out there not taking responsibility for their childrens actions. Turning in a coach to justify the wrong your child has done is not going to make your child a better person. I think they need to step back and think about the real issues. On another note, sports are optional, not everyone is guaranteed to play and there are rules as to the conduct of the players. If the coach does not feel the players conduct is where it needs to be, it is their choice as to who plays and who doesn't. You don't like it, don't participate, period.
If the school were organizing a "Gay is O.K. Day" then yes, there should be an equal day given to the non supporters. However, this is something the students are doing on their free time. I think it's sad that we have to even question a students right to wear a shirt with "gay" written on it after the superintendant has stated that it was not ment to be offensive. We need to learn to be tolerant of other peoples choices. If the shirts are not causing a sudden decline in GPA's, I don't see a problem.
Do you have kids? I think we are sometimes to quick to judge parents when something scary like this happens. I am sure this was not a case of child neglict. It was an accident. You can be a great parent and in a split second something like this can happen. Give the parents a break. Don't judge. You have made mistakes before. We ALL have.
I think they are probably judging by the amount of bugs and the amount of times they have sprayed and have not elmiminated the little pests. I don't think one person could carry enough bedbugs on their skin to infest a whole building.
