I've been on one of those bases in Japan and simply passing through the gates you wouldn't know if you were in the States or in Japan. The feeling was eerie. Still, we have no business staying there or in Europe or in a host of other places and it is long past time to come home. Will the US empire ever do this willingly? The Japanese simply need to man-up and tell Uncle Sam its time to pack and take the next bus out of Dodge.

I find it ironic that in our supposedly "free" country you have to sign up for selective service (AKA the Draft). Being a vet I resent it now more so than ever with my son closing in on 18. I feel if this damn country is worth defending then people will defend it themselves. You don't have to encourage anyone to do anything and no standing armies necessary. Doing away with DADT is really a step towards what they ultimately want... the draft. Just look forward to all the talking heads mysteriously moving into line behind such a measure... its only a matter of time.

And there you have it. That a "known" terrorist is "allowed" on board a flight tells you that your life, in the eyes of the State, doesn't mean shit. All the faux security theatrics aside if the dude actually did blow up the plane then it was because of "terrorism" and our so-called saviors would never spill the beans that they had a hand in bringing it about.
