What a beautiful story. My box of Kleenex came out for this one.

What really touched me is her prayer that if she were to ever find her daughter, she promised not to bother her. Imagine being her, and receiving that phone call. A phone call she waited 77 years for. It's heartwarming to know that she was able to meet her daughter again- at 94 years old! What a blessing!

Thank you for writing exactly what I was thinking. I don't buy these stories anymore. For one, if I were going to break into homes to steal presents, it wouldn't be in some ghetto apartment complex/welfare housing areas, etc. No, I'd be hitting the ritzy neighborhoods.

This is not rocket science.

*spend money on drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes
*make up story about how you bought all these expensive gifts
*claim gifts were stolen by a masked intruder
*file false police report
*contact local media with sob story
*brush your TOOTH and smile perty for the camera.

Wash, rinse, repeat next year.

She's a 16 year old CHILD with a baby. Cut her some slack.

Most of us had children when we were adults. This child had a child when she was still a child herself. Do you not remember what it was like to be 16? Try adding a baby into the mix. The angst and confusion that is part of the "teenage package", along with the responsibility of caring for another human life when you're not even fully developed yourself....geez people.

At least she made sure the baby was safe. She didn't abandon him. There are alot of stories that end with the tragic murder of a baby. This is not one of them.

Unfortunately, the body found was confirmed to be Cody Myers. Such a sad end for a young man, who by all accounts, was a good person. These d*ckbags deserve a world of hurt.
