Really? What better demonstration of giving into fear is having a JackBootedThug on every street corner and their Orwellian boss sitting in the tyrant's cabinet?
What better demonstration of giving into fear of reprisal is our failure to extract cold, bloody public revenge on the perpetrator individuals and states?
What better demonstration of fear is accepting, and forcing the acceptance of, double agents into our communities?

It's gonna hurt those thug-boyz to learn that their victims will soon be equal again, carrying *legal* concealed weapons. That'll kill their fun.

Please do not be distracted by the cartoonish movie. Atlas Shrugged is a daunting book but essential foundation for the vast non-fiction literature by Rand and her students/successors. They trace a careful path from the curse of I. Kant, past libertarianism and communitarianism to point the way out of our dire straits. A brief search of the web will recall vast reading.
