Oh, how sad. I cannot even imagine living from the place you describe. It is difficult for me to grasp things like "assume that others have malicious intent or that something was said or done because the person wanted to hurt you."

I'm sorry, but if somebody hurts you through their actions or words, it is only because you have given them permission to do so. It is not their fault, it is yours. Our world would be a much better place for most if we all started to take responsibility for our lives - and everything in our lives is our responsibility.

Thanks Allison. It has always been a struggle for me to reconcile the "live in the present moment" and "chase the life you desire". Your message has helped me get a better grasp on that - at least it has given me a point from which to start.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marie!!! Your brilliance is so beautifully written, but that beauty is eclipsed by the magnificence of the message that it contains. This is, of course, not the first time that I have heard this message, but the way in which you brought it forth made it come through in such a powerful way.

As I read your post the second and third times (after the tears from the first reading cleared) it became obvious to me that I received this message at this time for a reason. Today I begin...from this point forward I will live out loud...I will give to the world that which I came here to give.

Thanks for this inspiring post, Chris. Yes, we must celebrate the gift of life...every tiny piece of it.

It does surprise me, however, that your doctor gave you an out. He said "you did not cause this"...but you did. Nobody can run away from the fact that they are responsible for everything in their life - EVERYTHING!
