Patience is the key with Embree. Keep the expectations reasonable as he learns how to direct a program. Probably at least a 3 year process. Eventually, given solid recruiting, more wins will occur.

Embree will build the Buffs into a PAC 12 powerhouse. All he needs is time.

Relax folks. Embree will get plenty of time to prove what he can do. His staff can recruit, so his results should improve. Give him a chance. He's learning how to be a head coach on the fly.

Hmmm, no reply to my post? That's pretty "bogus"...

You act as though I worked for Rivals when THEY RANKED THE CLASS AND PLAYERS. A lot of fans put a ton of weight in what a kid is rated. I don't. THE POINT WAS, according to a national recruiting site, Hawkins' class was a top 20 class. That's a FACT. Thus my point about what they did is also a FACT. You don't have to like it. They said it, I didn't. Cry to Rivals. BTW, while you're at it, tell us how all the new recruits will pan out before they set foot on the football field.

According to Rivals.com, CU currently sits 11th in their 2012 PAC 12 recruiting rankings. With the coaching changes @ Arizona State, UCLA and possibly Washington State, the conference recruiting landscape could change quite a bit. Although the highly rated recruits didn't pan out for Hawkins and his staff, they did prove it's possible to land a top 20 recruiting class to CU. The recruiting suffered with the lack of wins and bowl games, along with speculation Hawkins would get fired. Would imagine the moves in Westwood and Tempe will actually improve recruiting now that speculation about firings will go away. Although, it's all about when the new guys are hired. That's an advantage for CU this cycle...

IMHO, the color of the helmets isn't the problem. Pretty sure they still beat CSU or Arizona if they wore the black helmets. I like the all black look at home. Hard to make a case that 2-8 in gold helmets is reason enough to abandon the black version. I hope it carries over to 2012.

Wondering how much "fun" the Buffs had tonight. Thought it was ridiculous for Embree to suggest his team was finally having fun. Obviously, they had fun for one week. They beat Arizona. However, SC and now UCLA banged them in a manner that doesn't lend itself to having much fun. I thought they had a legit shot to win this one. Even predicted they would. That all changed so quickly. Clearly the guarantees were meaningless. All that happens is another road loss. Disappointing night. Utah really needs a win next week. Buffs better step up,,,

8 days prior to the Arizona victory, USC dominated our Buffs. Which begs the question...how much fun were they having then? Seems it would be easier to suggest they're finally having fun after getting the first PAC 12 victory. Seriously doubt those sentiments would be expressed after the lopsided outcomes we've witnessed. Just sayin', winning can make things seem a lot more fun. I suggested a while back the last three games could be legit opportunities to get a win or two. Hopefully, it will be three. UCLA simply isn't that great. They could completely stink on Saturday. They've played their best ball at home, but are prone to close games. Buffs win this one...

Should anybody fear UCLA these days? Hardly. If by chance these predictions don't pan out, than what? It's just another "L" in a long list of road losses. As I see it, the Bruins are the perfect subject to remedy the road losing streak. UCLA as a double-digit favorite is comical.
